The Founders

Diving Bell was founded by Kim Butler and Justin Girdler in 2017, on a Friday morning in a pub in South London.

After a combined 30+ years in talent management and having run their own agencies prior, Kim and Justin were looking for the next chapter and challenge in their careers. They set about to build a talent management company with a clear vision to discover and develop generation-defining talent.

Driven by the lack of diversity the saw in the industry Kim and Justin made it a mission to focus on underrepresented talent whose work empowered their audiences.

Five years on and Diving Bell has facilitated the careers of multiple trailblazing talents and been behind various significant achievements including record-breaking number 1 best-selling books, prime-time tv shows, multiple magazine covers (including British Vogue), sold-out live shows, award-winning podcasts and are currently in production on a feature film with a leading global studio.

Outside of Diving Bell Kim holds the role of Secretary on the DCA board (Digital Creators Association a trade body representing the interests and needs of creators). Justin is a committee member and judge for the bCreator awards and part of the Creative Mentor Network mentoring young creatives from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. 

Both Justin and Kim are experienced speakers and partake on regular panels and podcasts sharing their valuable and unique insight on the intersection between creators, entertainment and purpose.
