Venetia La Manna
Sustainability activist Venetia La Manna (she/her) is a broadcaster, slow fashion campaigner and co-founder of Remember Who Made Them which helps to energise a new solidarity economy in fashion.
Creator of the 5 star rated podcast series Talking Tastebuds, Venetia chats to inspiring activists about their life with food, well-being, and conscious consumption. Since launching the hit-podcast series in 2017, it has amassed over 1.8M downloads.
Venetia is BBC Radio 1’s Sustainability Expert and discusses her top eco friendly tips to inspire listeners of the Life Hacks show. She is also the Sustainability Ambassador for The Body Shop and in 2019 went on a trip to India focusing on Community Trade and plastic waste.
Throughout her social platforms Venetia challenges fashion brands who are costing the earth and calls out retailers on their unethical practices in the fashion supply chain. Venetia’s campaigning has been recognised globally and her platform achieves an incredibly high engagement rate of 19.40% (July 2020).
