Surf Mum & Environmentalist
Kylie is an avid surfer, adventurer, mother and founder of London Girls Surf Club. LGSC was formed after Kylie discovered her passion for surfing 3 years ago after having her first surf lesson in Newquay, and she hasn’t looked back. The club is an organisation which encourages landlocked surfer chicks of all levels to get to the oceans, meet other surfers and offers them access to the lifestyle of this incredible sport.
Kylie’s new found love of the ocean has resulted in her spending all her free time packing up her family and her surf gear into a van to embark on road trips to get her from London to the coastline. So much so that Kylie and her family decided to pack up for good and have relocated to Newquay where the Ocean is now their backyard. This lifestyle has meant that travel has become a huge part of her life and through that adventure, she has been lucky enough to discover and spend time at some of the UK’s and Europe’s most beautiful coastline destinations. Along these journey’s Kylie has partnered with various brands including Instax, Skull Kandy, Boardmasters, Bumble & Bumble, Volcom, Animal and BIC to promote her lust for travel and adventure.
Alongside Kylie’s traveller lifestyle, she also writes a successful travel blog where she documents her and her family’s adventures. Kylie has also previously written for the likes of Vice and Surf Girl Magazine and has featured in articles in Time Out, The Telegraph, Grazia, Conde Nast Traveller, Women’s Health, Wavelength, Soho House Magazine, ASOS Magazine.
Kylie is an advocate for encouraging her audience to continue to be active travellers whilst raising a family and is keen to show them how and give tips on what to do and where to stay.
Alongside all of this, Kylie is currently developing a project that will see underprivileged children in European cities be offered the opportunity to get out of the smoke and spend a weekend learning to surf.
